It’s also a special time to witness nature at its most spectacular—Southern Right Whale return to Logan’s Beach to calve, often within 100 metres of the shore, viewed from the dedicated whale watching platform.
Warrnambool is also home to the famous Middle Island little penguin colony, protected by the world-renowned Maremma Sheepdog, a unique conservation success story.
